A Community of Users
Support of the DigiSynth product line is primarily achieved through the online user forum, available only to licensed users. Here you can ask questions, suggest features, get updates, and even share your patches and knowledge with a community of users.
Sharing patches is a bit different than sharing frames. A patch can be used more easily with a wider range of music than a frame. It is possible to take a patch out of a Metallica show and perform it to a Pink Floyd song, because it is about the performance more than the base image. Frames, specifically graphics, don't lend themselves to this level of collaboration and sharing quite as easily.
In the past there have been bitter rivalries between multiple companies. This is the old way of thinking, living in scarcity. We encourage our users to let their guard down a bit, relax and share their patches with the world, because we all win if we can share the workload.
We would like to specifically thank Karl Ross of Laserdome for allowing us to share the patches created for their shows during the development of DigiSynth. While these patches were made for DS2, we will be working to convert them into a library of imagery that will work with DS3.
Tutorial Videos
After writing some tutorials, we asked our users about them and they told us that video tutorials were a better way to go. We are in the process of creating tutorial videos that cover each the 70+ components and several patching concepts and techniques. They include screen shots as well as the patches that were created when the video was made. This is a big part of our goal for teaching the software in a more accessible way.
The tutorial videos are available to our community of users on the support forum.
Free Updates
We all like when things are free. Updates are no exception. It is our belief that updates should be free, as they enhance not only the features of a product, but also the stability. While we will be adding additional features in the future, and may break it into multiple user levels, those who are purchasing the software now shall have access to all the features of DigiSynth without additional software cost. This is our way of saying thank you for seeing DigiSynth as the powerful tool that we believe it to be.
